Charles Lynn Bryson, 60, of Abilene, died Saturday, December 25, 2010 at a local hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at St. James United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Merkel. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, December 27, 2010 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.
Charles was born December 6, 1950 in McCulloch County, Texas to Charles Herschel Bryson and Olinzea Elizabeth (Winkler) Bryson. He graduated from Brady High School in 1969 and attended college for one year before receiving his LVN degree. He began his career in nursing in 1985 and worked for various nursing homes, Containment for Insurance Company and Hendrick Medical Center. His last employment was with Coronado Nursing Home.
November 12, 1988, Charles married Elizabeth (Beth) Hester in Abilene. He was a member of St. James United Methodist.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Charles is survived by his wife, Beth Bryson of Abilene; two sons, Collin (Cole) Bryson of Abilene and Traver (Tray) Wright and wife Julie of La Marque, Texas; one daughter, Tamara Morris and husband David of Moore, Oklahoma; and two grandchildren, Riley Morris of Moore, Oklahoma and Tanner Wright of La Marque, Texas.
