Carolyn O'Kelley Donaldson

Carolyn Ann Donaldson, of Abilene, died Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at the age of 62. Funeral services, with Rowland Gregory officiating, will be at 2:00 pm on Friday, November 16 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. Carolyn was born December 21, 1944 in Abilene, Texas to Carroll O'Kelley, Sr. and Marian (Harvey) O'Kelley. She graduated from Abilene High School and Texas Tech University. Carolyn married Larry Donaldson on June 6, 1981 in Abilene. She was a partner in her family's business, O'Kelley Office Supply and a lifelong resident of Abilene. Carolyn was a member of the Abilene Zoological Society and a lifetime member of the Abilene Kennel Club. She was a Baptist. Carolyn is survived by her parents, Carroll and Marian O'Kelley, of Abilene; her husband, Larry Donaldson, also of Abilene; one daughter, Tracey Donaldson, of Jacksonville, Florida; one brother, Carroll O'Kelley, Jr. and his wife Susan, of Dudley; one sister, Marilyn Chittum and her husband Roger, of Abilene; one nephew, Kelly Chittum and his wife Machael, of Abilene, and their children, Jenna, Austin and Aaron Chittum; one sister-in-law, Donna Mills and her husband Rocky of Houston, and their daughter, Leila Vacek; one brother-in-law, Steven Donaldson, Rt. Col., and his wife Jane, of Virginia, and their children, Sharon, Shelia and Michael Donaldson, and Larry's aunt, Maybelle Kern. Memorials may be made in honor of Carolyn to Taylor-Jones Humane Society, 3811 North 1st Street, Abilene, Texas 79603; Rescue The Animals, 4620 North 1st Street, Abilene, Texas 79603; or the Abilene Zoological Society.
