Carolyn Perkins Brockman Gutzke, 61, died Sunday, December 27, 2009, in Oklahoma City, OK. The funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, January 4, 2010, in The Hamil Family Funeral Home Chapel in Abilene, Texas. Interment will follow at 11 a.m. in the Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Abilene. Visitation will be 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, January 3, at the funeral home. Carolyn was born on February 12, 1948 in Merkel, Texas to Floyd Perkins and Myrtle (Driggers). She graduated from Cooper High School. February 23, 1987 Carolyn married Ronald Gutzke in Mission, Texas. Carolyn was a Texas Master Florist. For the past ten years she worked as a customer service representative for AMF Health Sciences and sold supplemental health products. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Danny Perkins. Carolyn is survived by her husband, Ronald Gutzke, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one son, Steven Brockman and wife Autumn, of Odessa; one daughter, Rita Cortez and husband John, of Oklahoma City; two brothers, John Perkins and wife Pam, of Abilene, and Robert W. Perkins, of Maypearl, Texas; three sisters, Dorothy Rupp and husband Robert, of Perry, Oklahoma, Mary Stevens, of Clyde, Peggy Deen and husband Gerald, of Houston; two grandchildren, Logan Brockman and Carter Cortez.
