Jane was born in the small farming town of Covington, TX to Lester Baker and Margaret Pauline (Dacus) Baker on August 15th, 1937. She later moved to live with her grandparents Arthur Dacus and Ollie Victoria (Beeks) Dacus in Hillsboro, TX; also residing at this home was her beloved Great Aunt Emer Beeks. Jane had many memories of this time, and she often shared happy stories of her childhood with her older sister Medina Ann Baker while their parents worked at Consolidated in Ft Worth, TX to build planes for the war effort.
After the war, her parents and sister moved to Snyder, TX to follow the work the oil boom provided. While living in Snyder, she welcomed four little brothers to the family. Jane attended Snyder public schools and worked at Stinson's Drug Store while in High School. It was during this time that she met and married a clean-cut young man by the name of Jimmie Delle Bolin on October the 8th, 1955 at the Avenue D Baptist Church in Snyder, TX. The newly wed couple made their home in Colorado City, TX where Jimmie was employed by Dowell.
While making a home in Colorado City, TX, Jane welcomed her two children Steve and Lisa. She and the family attended Calvary Baptist Church where many friends were made. As time went on, she decided to attend cosmetology school and became a hairdresser. She found that she was very good at her profession, and she bought a beauty shop directly across from Colorado City High School known far and wide by the name of Jane's Beauty Shop.
After her children graduated High School, Jane found herself on some new adventures with her husband Jimmie. As Jimmie was promoted and moved in his career, Jane was there creating comfortable and beautiful homes in Monahans TX, Tulsa OK, Westerville, OH, and back to Tulsa, OK before retiring to Abilene, TX in 1992.
Jane being a Christian, was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Ann Baker and a brother, Paul L. Baker. She spoke often of being with them again when Jesus came for her. She was lively, outspoken, and loved her friends and family dearly. She spread love and grace to all that knew her.
Jane is survived by husband Jimmie Delle Bolin, son Stephen Delle Bolin and wife Diana Bolin, daughter Lisa Diane Bolin, brothers David Keith Baker of OKC, OK, James Ronald Baker of Lubbock, TX and Thomas Mark Baker of Lubbock, TX. Grandchildren Linzee Diane Castro and husband Philip Castro of Colorado City, TX, Landon Blake Hammond and wife Crystal Hammond of Abilene, TX and Neely Diane Bolin of Abilene, TX. Great Grandchildren, Lanee Castro, Landry Hammond and Lincoln Hammond as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family of Jane more well known as "Mimi" wishes to extend our sincere thanks to those that helped in her final journey.
