Carl Dwain Bradshaw, 76, died Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at an Abilene medical center.
Born in the community of Guion near Bradshaw in Taylor County, Texas, Carl was the son of Nettie Aline (Overby) and Ernest Bradshaw, and attended school at South Taylor High School (now Jim Ned). For 17 years he was employed by Wylie ISD and was the heating and air conditioning technician. He was a Baptist.
A hardworking man, Carl always had a smile and was a sweet, kind person. He was a great "Papaw" and loved his grandchildren.
His mother, Nettie Aline Bradshaw, and two sisters, Janie Sorrell and Rita Remington, preceded him in death.
Carl is survived by his son, Carl Wayne Bradshaw and wife Dwana of Abilene; daughter, Kim McMillan and husband Mark of Abilene; sister, Linda Smith and husband Smitty of San Antonio; six grandchildren, Luke McMillan and wife Emily, Cole McMillan, Guy McMillan, Whitney Ice and husband Estebaan, Kelbie Bradshaw and Carlee Bradshaw; great-granddaughter, Tenley McMillan; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. until 12 noon Saturday, November 24, 2012 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road in Abilene. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Potosi Cemetery with John Fanning officiating.
