Bruce Migliore

Bruce Salvatore Migliore, 87 of Abilene, Texas passed away on February 13, 2023 in Abilene, Texas.

Visitation will be at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road from 5:30-7:30pm on Wednesday, February 22, with a Rosary immediately following.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, February 23, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 837 Jeanette Street, Abilene. Burial will follow at The Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Abilene .   Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.

Bruce was born in Rochester, New York to Lewis and Stella Migliore on December 6^th, 1935.  He went to St. Ambrose Catholic School and graduated from Aquinas Institute. Bruce enlisted in the Marine Corps for 8 years, serving in the Korean Conflict.  He married Maria (Mary) Arbore on September 12^th, 1959, in Rochester. Bruce and Mary raised their 4 children in Rochester before moving to Abilene in 1983. After working in insurance sales for many years, he and his brother started a carpet and furniture cleaning business. After moving to Abilene, he joined the family business as a Manager of Tom’s Tire World until he retired in 2000. He was very involved in many local church ministries through Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  In 2012, he was ordained as an Acolyte in the Catholic Church.

Bruce was preceded in death by his wife Mary less than 6 months ago, and his parents and sister Gertrude.    

Bruce is survived by his four children. Sons: Lewis J. Migliore, Carl A. (MaryEllen) Migliore, Christopher A. (Amy) Migliore and daughter Theresa M. (William) McFarland. Brother Lewis G. Migliore, Sisters Audrey (Ed) Lavigne and Judy (Gary) Blaschek. Ten grandchildren- Ashley (Pete) Makula, Lindsey Migliore, Samantha (Zack) Olson, Zachary (Ashley) Migliore, Vincent Migliore, Anthony Migliore, Hailey (Billy) Mitchell, Andrea McFarland, Spencer McFarland and Dominic Migliore. 8 great grandchildren- Kyle, Jackson, Isabella, Camden, Olana, Aria, Mila and Malia.  Many extended family and friends.  

The pallbearers will be Bruce’s brother Lewis G. Migliore and his 5 grandsons- Zachary, Vincent, Anthony, Spencer and Dominic. Honorary pallbearers will be grandson-in-laws Zack Olson and Billy Mitchell.  

Memorials may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church Building Fund, or Hendrick Hospice Care
