Bradley Don Smith, 61, of Abilene, passed away on January 2, 2021, in Abilene, TX. A celebration of his life will be at 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 16, at the Bar S, 1141 Nora Miller Rd, Abilene, 79602. Tim Mathews of All For One Missions Church, officiating. Burial will follow at the Smith family cemetery. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. Brad was born in Midland, Texas to Ted & Barbara Smith on November 20, 1959. He went to Midland and Abilene schools. He graduated from Abilene High and Hardin Simmons University with a BS in Geology. He married Dee Smith on September 26, 1987, in Abilene. Brad worked as a corrosion specialist for Holly Energy Partners. He had worked in this field for over 34 years. Brad greatly enjoyed traveling to watch and "give advice" to his son, Austin, while he played football and baseball. Brad also enjoyed giving counsel, spreading God's word, and helping others in need. He was an active member of All for One Missions Church where he loved cooking for the congregation, which promoted wonderful fellowship. Brad loved his family, his church and it's members, his friends, and farming. To his family, Brad, was bigger than life, and he will be greatly missed, the love they have for him will last a lifetime. Brad was preceded in death by his parents, Barbara and Ted Smith, and his in-laws, Celia and Adolfo Gonzales. Brad is survived by his wife, Dee Smith and son, Austin Smith; his sister Lori Stover and husband, Andy Stover; his brother Wade Smith; his sister-in-law, Kelley Mackey and her husband, James Mackey; and his brother-in-law, Arthur Gonzales and wife Dawn all of Abilene.
