Bobby Orlando Williams

Bobby O. Williams, 81, of Abilene, Texas passed away on February 17, 2018 in Rockwall Texas.

Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00PM Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road in Abilene.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM Wednesday, February 21, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Jeff Reid of Pioneer Drive Baptist Church, officiating.   Burial will follow in Elliott-Hamil Garden of Memories Cemetery.  

Bobby was born in Trent, Texas to Robert and Helen Williams on September 16, 1936.  He went to school in Abilene, graduating from Abilene High School. He attended Hardin-Simmons University and Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at SMU.  He married Barbara Golleher in 1955 in Abilene. They were married for 33 years.  In 1989, he married Patsy Rehm. He worked in banking for several years and was proud to have been part of the old Thornton’s retailing team. In 1975, he began working for Munden Discount Centers as General Manager. In 1994, he joined the staff of Rita Barber, Inc. until he retired.   He was a member of Pioneer Drive Baptist Church for 59 years where he sang in several choirs and was a loyal member of B.W. Aston’s Couples Bible Study Class.     

Bob was preceded in death by his wife Barbara, his son Robert, his mother Dr. Helen B. Williams and father, Robert Worth Williams. 

Bob is survived by his wife Patsy, daughter Lynnette Bondick and husband Greg, grandchildren Lyndsey Vasquez and Nicole Henington, great-granddaughter Brooklyn Vasquez of Abilene. He is also survived by 4 stepchildren, including Randy Deal and Ronnie Deal and wife Tammy of Abilene, Tonya Robinson and husband Robbie of Bryan and Cindy McDonald of Forney, 5 step-grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren; son-in-law Paul McDonald; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Wendell and Linda Rehm. 

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Deal, Paul McDonald, Brandon Scott, Daxton Deal, Wendell Rehm and Joey Scott.

Memorials may be given to Pioneer Drive Baptist Church, 701 S. Pioneer Drive, Abilene, TX 79605, or your favorite charity.
