Bobby J. Ritchey, of Abilene, died Monday, December 24, 2007 at the age of 84. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday, December 27, 2007 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. Funeral services, with Bob Scott officiating, will be at 2:00 pm Friday in the chapel at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park.
Bobby was born January 24, 1923 in Brown County, Texas to Augusta Evans and Anna (Guyer) Pulliam. After graduating from high school and business college, she worked in the purchasing department at Dunigan Tool Company for 25 years. June 18, 1988, Bobby married Clifton (Clif) Ritchey in Abilene. She was a member of Hillcrest Church of Christ. Through the years Bobby was active in various church organizations including the "widow and widowers" group and was involved in the group that helped those in need that are shut-ins. She was also a member of the Desk and Derreck Organization and a member of the Aggie Moms' Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Nurine Bruce. She is survived by her husband, Clif Ritchey, of Abilene; one son, Tom Osborn, of San Antonio, Texas; one daughter, Judy Nichols, of Midland; two step-daughters, Gloria Rose and her husband James, of Ft. Worth, Sandra Wilson and her husband Bruce, of San Marcos; one brother, William Pulliam and his wife Katie, of Dawson; two sisters, Augusta Dazey, of Texas City and Violet Wells, of Brownwood; nine grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
