Bobby Gene Daniels

Bobby Gene “B.G.” Daniels, (known as Bob to his family) died Friday, July 3, 2015 at the age of 79. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, July 6, 2015 at Bethel Cemetery in Funston, Texas. Chaplain Larry Millican will officiate. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 pm on Sunday, July 5, 2015 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. Bob was born October 1, 1935 in Anson, Texas to Willie Griggs Daniels and Winnie Lou (Rhodes) Daniels. He was a lifelong resident of the Abilene area. Bob owned and operated a heavy equipment construction company. After retiring from the construction company he worked in seasonal business in hay, firewood, lawn service and landscaping, and later worked in lawn service equipment sales and repair. Bob married Byrdie Lee Swinson on May 5, 1958 in Anson, Texas. She preceded him in death on August 3, 2010. He was also preceded in death by his parents and one son, Brian (Truck) Daniels. Bob married Glenderl Reed on July 3, 2011. He is survived by his wife, Glenderl Daniels; three sons, Brent Daniels, Barry Daniels and Bart Daniels; one daughter, Bunnia McBride; and one brother, Charles Daniels all of Abilene. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Barry Daniels, Bartley Daniels, Charlie Brown, William Daniels, Bobby Daniels and Wade McBride will serve as pallbearers.
