Bobbie Jo Lindsey, 88, of Richardson, Texas passed away on October 21st, 2021.

Bobbie was born in Rochester, Texas to R.B. and Ruby Walsworth on December 19th, 1932.  She graduated from Spur High School in Spur, Texas where she met the love of her life, Melvin C. Lindsey.  They married after graduation and were married for 67 years before Melvin’s passing in 2018.  She graduated from business school and worked as a secretary and later a teller at Abilene Savings in Abilene, Texas, where she lived most of her adult life.  Her favorite job was being a stay-at-home mom to her daughter Tempie and her son Britt.  Bobbie enjoyed visiting with her friends, reading and watching “her shows” on T.V.  She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. 

Bobbie was preceded in death by her husband Melvin Lindsey, and her parents R.B and Ruby Walsworth of Spur, Texas.

Bobbie is survived by her daughter Tempie Lindsey of Richardson, Texas and her son Britt Lindsey and his wife Leslie of Newark, Ohio, her granddaughter Alyx, her grandsons Benjamin and Jaxon and her great grandchildren Sterling, Noah, Luke, Liam, Cora and Anna. 

No services are planned at this time.

Memorials may be given to the West Texas Rehab Center or the American Heart Association.

The Lindsey family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the staff at The Monarch at Richardson in Richardson, Texas for their love and care of Bobbie over the last several years, as well as the staff of the Knights of Comfort Hospice Care of Richardson, Texas for their care, devotion and service to Bobbie.
