Blondina Graunke, born April 8, 1927 in Glen Allen, Missouri, died Wednesday, November 28, in Conley, Georgia, at the age of 85. She was raised in Bethalto, Illinois, the daughter of Rhodi and Pearl Long.
Blondina was the organist at Moro Presbyterian Church for over 30 years and raised her children in Dorsey, Illinois.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Harold W. (Red) Graunke; two daughters, Jean Hancock of Abilene, Texas and Doris Nelson of Conley, Georgia, and one son, Harold, Jr. (Skip) of Ellenwood, Georgia; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one sister, Almeda Bruening of Bethalto, Illinois; and a brother-in-law, Herschel Andrews of Williamson, Georgia.
Blondina was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, three sisters, and one son Duane Pacey of Edwardsville, Illinois
Visitation will be 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 3, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home Chapel prior to the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service in Elmwood Memorial Park in Abilene.
