Birch C. Watson

Birch C. Watson, Jr., 65, died Thursday, May 21, 2015 in Abilene. Born in Merced, California on February 5, 1950, he was the son of the late Frances and Birch Colvin Watson, Sr. Birch owned Southwest Heating and Air Conditioning/ Pools in Abilene. Birch is survived by his son, Shawn Watson of Austin; daughters, Crystal Watson, and Brittany Portillo and husband Hector all of Tuscola; and two grandchildren, Isiah Quiroz and Gabriel Portillo. Survivors also include a brother, Dennis Watson and wife Virginia of New Braunfels, and one sister, Denise Hallford of Abilene. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, in Elmwood Memorial Park with Rev. David Cason officiating, directed by The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road, Abilene.
