Billy Earl Neill

Bill Earl Neill, age 75, of Marshall County, Oklahoma, passed away on February 29, 2016 in Madill, Oklahoma at the Brookside Nursing Home. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2016 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road, Abilene, Texas. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 12, 2016 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park at 5750 US Hwy 277 South in Abilene. Bill was born in Merkel, Texas to William Cantley Neill and Agnes Varner Neill on July 16, 1940. He went to school at Abilene, Texas. He graduated from Abilene High School and attended Abilene Christian University. He married Merle Cook in October, 2012 in Marshal County OK. He worked as a Senior Wireline Logger for 40+ years. Bill loved to hunt and fish and the outdoors. He also loved time spent training his dogs. Bill was preceded in death by his father Willian C. Neill, mother Agnes V. Neill, and wife Gail Neill. Bill is survived by spouse Merle Cook; daughter Heather Reeves and husband Joe Reeves; son Jonathan Mitchell Neill and wife Kelsi Neill; brother Jimmy D. Neill; three grandchildren, Taylor Neill, Jordan Nicole Reeves, and Kyley Brooke Reeves. Memorials may be made in honor of Bill E. Neill to Christian Homes of Abilene, P O Box 270, Abilene, Texas 79604.
