Bill Marsh, 76, died Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at his residence in Buffalo Gap, Texas.
The son of the late Eunice (Notgrass) and William Marsh, he was born on August 1, 1932 in Nimrod, Texas, and was reared in Cisco, Texas. After graduation, he served for two terms in the U. S. Air Force before being discharged in 1960. An electronic technician, Bill worked for Sanders Associates which was later bought out by Lockheed.
Bill married Janet Ann Hession on January 11, 1958 in Wayland, Massachusetts. The couple moved from New Hampshire to the Abilene area 21 years ago. He was a Baptist.
Bill loved his family and his dog, "Clara". He also loved Texas and woodworking.
Survivors include his wife, Jan Marsh of Buffalo Gap; son, Bill Marsh of Buffalo Gap; daughters, Terry Marsh of Buffalo Gap, Christine Marsh of Massachusetts, and Debbie Marsh of Morgan City, Louisiana; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, Gary Marsh of Baird; sister, Annabelle Warren of Comanche; and six nieces.
A family memorial service will be held at a later date. Local arrangements are being made by The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road in Abilene.
