Billy Mac Key, 84, of Abilene passed away on February 11, in Abilene.
Visitation will be Friday, February 14 from 6-8 pm at Hamil Family Funeral Home 6449 Buffalo Gap Rd in Abilene.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Saturday, February 15 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home Chapel with CV Blake of First Baptist Church officiating.
Burial will follow at Potosi Cemetery. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.
Billy Mac was born in Merkel, Tx to T.J. and Zella Key on June 26, 1940. He went to school in Abilene. He graduated from Abilene High School and attended McMurry College for a time and also served in the Army National Guard. He was employed for many years by the Abilene Reporter News as a type-setter, until his retirement.
Billy Mac was preceded in death by his parents T.J. Key and Zella Grace McMinn Key and his brother Teddie Jack Key.
Billy Mac is survived by his children Shanna Shaye Key-Mims (Martin Mims) and Bradley Sean Key from his previous marriage to Samilue Key. Although Billy Mac and Samilue were divorced they maintained a caring friendship. He was also survived by a step-grandson James Eason (Jace) Mims.
