Beverly Fyffe

Beverly Fyffe, 82, of Abilene, TX (formerly Tulsa, OK), passed away on February 23, 2018. 

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Tuesday, February 27, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home Chapel, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road, with Dr. Jeff Reid officiating. 

Beverly was born in Fort Smith, AR to Agnes R. and Douglas H. Ketchum on May 8, 1935.  She married Billy D. Fyffe on March 9, 1957, in Fort Smith, AR and they had four children after moving to Tulsa in 1958.  While working as a secretary/legal secretary for nearly 50 years, she also was an active member in her church and was especially known for the delicious desserts she prepared for gatherings. Affectionately called “Granny B,” her grandchildren have many fond memories of her baking their favorite treats whenever they visited; teaching them poker and how to live a life full of grace and love.  Beverly was especially fond of cooking and entertaining (which was inherited by her three daughters).  Her love of cooking shows inspired trips to The Pioneer Woman’s Mercantile in Pawhuska, OK and to Paula Deen’s Restaurant in Savannah, GA this past year.  A strong and independent woman, she also gave of her time and talents by volunteering to help those less fortunate.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents and only sister, Barbara Carroll. 

Beverly is survived by daughters Cindy Ramsey & husband, Bush of Abilene; Sheri Shroka & husband, Ed of Phoenix, AZ; Becky Clifton of Rockwall, TX; and son, Chris Fyffe & wife, April of Tulsa, OK.  She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and numerous caring friends.

Memorials may be given to Hendrick Hospice Care or Meals on Wheels Plus, Inc., Abilene, TX.  The family of Beverly wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Schultz and his office staff as well as the loving care provided by Hendrick Hospice.
