Beverley Willson Coulter

1952 — February 15, 2010

Beverley Coulter, 57, died at a local hospital on Monday, February 15, 2010 following a lengthy illness. She was born September 10, 1952. She attended Abilene schools and was a 1971 graduate of Cooper High School. She married Philip Coulter in July of 1975, and although the couple divorced in 1995, they remained close friends until his death in December of 2001. She was also preceded in death by her grandmother, LoRena Culpepper Lawson, her parents W.N. (Newt) and Wanda Montgomery and Edward Willson, and her sister-in-law Janis Coulter. Beverley was an accomplished pianist, enjoyed cooking and reading, but most especially enjoyed sitting and talking for hours with her sister, Pamela, and the two of them watching and laughing at what they called "horror movies made on a $10.00 budget". She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was employed by Marvin Puryear Construction for many years. She is survived by her beloved sister and brother-in-law, Pamela Willson Perkins and her husband, John Perkins of Abilene; an aunt Gloria Willson Marler of Goldthwaite, Texas; her friend, confidante and mother-in-law for over 32 years, Venita Bliznak McKinney of Victoria, Texas; two brothers-in-law, Dr. Johnny Bliznak of Abilene and David Bliznak of Victoria, Texas; and many Willson cousins. Graveside services will be held in Goldthwaite Memorial Cemetery 2:30 p.m. Friday, February 19. Local arrangements are being made by The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road in Abilene.
