Betty Sue (Davis) Dennis

Betty Dennis, 93, of Harlingen, passed away Sunday, September 4, 2022, in Harlingen, Texas.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at The Hamil Family Funeral Home on Thursday, September 8, 2022.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, September 9 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home with Dr. Jeff Reid of Pioneer Drive Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.

Betty was born in Nugent, Texas to Ethel and Nolen Rogers on August 7, 1929. She graduated from Lueders High School. She worked at The Seat Cover Center which she co-owned with her husband of many years, H.E. (Red) Davis, who passed away in 1986. She married Don Dennis in 1990. She was involved in Beta Sigma Phi, American Business Women’s Association, and Order of the Eastern Star.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Red Davis, and later by her husband, Don Dennis.

Betty is survived by her son, Benny Davis, her daughter and son-in-law, Becky Johnson and Dr. Greg Johnson, her grandson, Will Tanner Davis, and many nieces and nephews.
