Bessie Faye Moore

Bessie Faye Moore, 89, passed away on February 28, 2018. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 2, 2018, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road, in Abilene. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2018, at Oplin Cemetery, Oplin, Texas, with Reverend David Cason officiating. Bessie, beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, was born on November 1, 1928, in Burleson, Texas, to Arthur Brooks Chambers and Nellie Jane Woollen. She went to school in Abilene. She married Jess H. Moore on October 11, 1963, in Tuscola, Texas. She was a member of Broadview Baptist Church. Bessie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, and three sisters. She is survived by her children, Lisa Doyon and husband, Jerry, of Kilgore, Texas; Jess Moore and wife, Shari, of Clyde, Texas; Judy Webb of Abilene, Texas; and Jim Moore of Abilene, Texas; seven grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. Memorials may be given to Hendrick Hospice Care, 1651 Pine Street, Abilene, Texas, 79601, or a favorite charity.
