Barbrara Ann Tipton Rogers

Barbrara Ann Tipton Rogers, 65, died Friday, December 18, 2009, at an Abilene medical center. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 22, at Hamil Family Funeral Home Chapel, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road in Abilene, with Rev. Billy Bardin officiating. Born in Breckenridge, Texas on February 4, 1944, Barbrara, was the daughter of Lorene (Angel) and Lorenzo Lee Tipton. She was a 1964 graduate of Breckenridge High School and a certified nurse's aide, having worked for Villa Haven Nursing Center in Breckenridge. On January 20, 1996, she married Wayne "Tony" Rogers, Jr. in Breckenridge. The couple moved in 2001 to Abilene, where they were members of Berry Lane Baptist Church. Her parents and one brother, Robert Lee Tipton, preceded Barbrara in death. Survivors include her husband, Wayne "Tony" Rogers, Jr. of Abilene; special friend, Wendell Eaton; and several cousins.
