Barbara Ann Cocke, 82, died Friday, July 20, 2018 in Abilene, Texas

A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM Thursday, July 26, 2018 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road, Abilene.  Pastor Geoffrey Turner will officiate. 

Born in Bay City, Texas on March 8, 1936, Barbara Ann was the daughter of Robert Henry Lane and Allie Mae (Johnson) Lane. She was retired, having owned and operated Sparkles, a jewelry store in California; The Cat House in Old Sacramento: and Hats Galore and More in Lahaska, Pennsylvania.  In 2009, she moved from California to Abilene where she attended Beltway Park Church.  She was also a past member of the Red Hat Society.

She was preceded in death by her parents. Her son, Michael Scott Cocke died July 20, 2018.

Barbara Ann is survived by two sons, William L. Cocke and John S. Cocke both of San Francisco, California; a daughter, Karen Lott and Johnny of Abilene; a granddaughter, Samantha Lott of Abilene; one brother, George Lane and Maro of Colorado; and one sister, Betty Phillips of North Carolina.
