Aubrey Scott Tipton

Aubrey Scott Tipton, 61, of Abilene, passed away on June 24th, 2021 in Abilene, Texas. Scott will be cremated, and a memorial service will be Monday, July 12, 2021 at 2:00 pm. It will be held at The Hamil Family Funeral Home with James Greer of Abilene officiating. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. Scott was born in Ranger, Texas to W. C. Tipton and Hilda Eppler Tipton on January 2nd, 1960. He went to school at Ranger High School in Ranger, Texas, attended Ranger College in Ranger, and Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches. He married Donna Leisa Bott of Abilene on June 7, 2003, at Camp Butman in Merkel, Texas. He was working as a scale technician for R&R Scales in Abilene at the time of his death. Scott was preceded in death by his parents. Scott is survived by his wife, Donna; children - Jonathan Bott, Lindsey Tipton, Crystal Tipton, Tessa Tipton, and Jayce Moore; brother – Wendell Tipton; sister – Sue Casey and husband Tim; grandchildren – Leyla Bland. In lieu of flowers, because of Scott's passion for animal rescue and his love of his own rescued dogs, he would be honored for donations to be made to the National Anatolian Shepherd Rescue Network (NASRN, P.O. Box 2001, Higley, AZ 85234).
