Arthur Dutton, 78, of Abilene, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2018. Graveside services will be at 2:00 pm on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at the Potosi Cemetery. Rev. David Cason will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Saturday, February 3rd at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.
Arthur was born in Abilene, Texas on May 14, 1939 to Jess Stinson and Lucy Marie (Taylor) Dutton. He graduated from Wylie High School. Arthur was a tool maker for General Dynamics and U.S. Brass. He married Shirley Hyer on August 17, 1959 in Big Spring, Texas. She preceded him in death on August 9, 2011. He married Lea McBee on August 26, 2012 in Abilene.
Arthur was also preceded in death by his parents.
Arthur is survived by his wife, Lea McBee of Abilene; three sons, Robbie Dutton and wife Judy of Abilene, Jess Dutton and wife Belinda of Tuscola, and Lane Smith and wife Tina of Aspermont; one daughter, Lavinda Smith and husband Sean of Aspermont; one brother, Claude Dutton and wife Ruby of Abilene; one sister, Gladys Rossiter of Abilene; nine grandchildren, Jake Dutton, Marlie Dutton, Trey Dutton, Sam Eidson, Ali Eidson, Rowdy Smith, Tobin Smith, Zachary Smith and Stephen Torres; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
