Annie Beatrice Sanders

Annie Beatrice Sanders, 88 of Abilene, died Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at a local hospital. Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m. Thursday, August 21, 2008 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road, Abilene, Texas. Burial will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park. The Family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at the funeral home. Annie was born on April 28, 1920 to the late Henry C. Pounds and Mary Jane Grice Pounds in Tyler County, Texas. She Married Royce J. Sanders on December 17, 1938 in Abilene, Texas. She was Baptist. Annie loved playing games with her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews and she usually won. Annie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son Royce J. Sanders, Jr., four brothers and three sisters. She is survived by one son, Bruce Sanders and wife Tina of Abilene, two daughters, Celia M. Gardner and husband Tommy of La Porte, Texas and Gladys J. Spigner and husband Ray of Prattville, Alabama and one daughter-n-law, Linda Sanders of Sedalia, Missouri, six grandchildren, Debbie, Gina, Gary, David, Lisa, and Penny, eleven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews including Betty Pounds, Tommy Pounds, Nancy Hooper, and Mary Gilbreath.
