Annie Edmond, 86, died Saturday, February 17, 2007 at her home in Abilene. A funeral service, with Reverend Danny Edmond officiating, will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 23, 2007 in the Faith Deliverance Community Church, with burial following in Elmwood Memorial Park under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. There will be a visitation at the Funeral Home on Thursday from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Annie was born in Cowmiss, Texas on September 17, 1920 to Jap and Mary Mason White. She attended schools in Texas and Oklahoma before moving to Abilene in 1942. She worked as a maid while in Abilene, and retired in 1986. While living in Abilene, Annie met Ernest Edmond whom she married in 1955 and the couple made Abilene their home. She was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, J.D. White and a sister, Eva Flanningan. Survivors include: her husband, Earnest Edmond of Abilene; two daughters, Shirley Ann Burnett and Alice Fay Gobbert both of Abilene; four sons, Billy Edmond, James Edmond, and Danny Edmond all of Abilene and Patrick Edmond of Maynard, Texas; two brothers, G.W. White of Denton and Bobby Joe White of Abilene; a sister, Lessie May White Gray of Denton; one hundred thirty four grand, great-grand, great-great-grand, and great-great-great-grandchildren.
