Anna Louise Lewis, 68, died Sunday, December 31, 2006 in a local nursing center. A funeral service, with Reverend Derrell Patterson officiating, will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 2, 2007 in Aldersgate United Methodist Church. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the Country Oaks Cemetery at Hico, Texas under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.
Louise was born September 8, 1938 in Marshall, Texas to Finis Eugene and Carrie Belle Wallace Clemens. In addition to being a homemaker and raising her family in Hico, Louise had worked as a secretary, a PBX operator and a cook. She was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church.
Louise was preceded in death by her husband, James "Pearl" Lewis in 1996; her parents, and a sister, Dorothy Rogers.
Survivors include: a daughter, Pam Rosenbaum and her husband, Clint of Abilene; a son, Mark Lewis and his wife, Penny of De Leon, Texas; a sister, Mary Jane Watkins of Fort Worth; a brother, Bronson Clemens and his wife, Mickie of Whitney, Texas; four grandchildren, Jessica Rosenbaum and James Rosenbaum of Abilene and Hayden Lewis and Landen Lewis of De Leon, as well as several nieces and nephews.
