Obituary of Ann Reiling
Ann (Sullivan) Reiling went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at the age of 82. Ann was born on February 8, 1940 to William and Catherine Irene (Dillon) Sullivan in Three Rivers, Michigan. She graduated from Bronson High School in Bronson, Michigan in 1958.

She attended Western Michigan University where she earned an Associates Degree. Upon completion of her degree, she married Dennis Reiling on September 3, 1960 in Bronson, Michigan. Dennis's service in the Air Force provided opportunities for travel across the world. She was active in the Squadrons and served as both the secretary and president of the Non-Commissioned Officers Club. Dennis and Ann were stationed together in Wisconsin, Ohio, Goose Bay Labrador, New Jersey, California, Texas, and Germany.
She raised 4 rambunctious boys who challenged her daily with their large appetites. But moreover, they provided her with laughter and the joy of being their honored mother. She managed the family oftentimes alone while Dennis was on isolated tours to Newfoundland, Labrador, Korea and other separating temporary duty assignments.
After the boys were raised, Ann was employed in the interest of her hobbies as an experienced seamstress. She was an accomplished quilter, and she was awarded a Guild Choice Award at the 2006 Stars Over Abilene Quilt Show. Her family is also blessed with her many gifts of quilts that highlighted various milestones like weddings, graduations, and new babies.
Ann was a dedicated employee who worked at So-Fro Fabrics in the Mall of Abilene, House of Fabrics, and she retired from War-Mart in 2002. She was also an active member of Wylie United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Dennis and her four sons, William (Susan) Reiling of Weatherford, Jerrald Reiling of Abilene, Steve (Debby) Reiling of Mansfield, and Robert (Deborah) Reiling of Frisco. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Geoffrey (Dianne) Reiling of Lawton, Oklahoma, Joseph (Charity) Reiling of Grindstone, Pennsylvania, Matthew (Candice) Reiling of Tuscola, Brian Reiling of Abilene, Alyssa Boyd of McKinney, Daniel Reiling of Leander, Sean Boyd, serving in the Marine Corp and stationed in Chesapeake, Virginia, Spencer Catherine Reiling, Reese Helen Reiling of Mansfield, and Haley Ann Reiling of Weatherford. Her great-grandchildren, Colby Reiling, serving in the Air Force and stationed in Okinawa, Japan, Alec, Landen, and Reaygan Reiling of Lawton, Oklahoma, Jayden and Jalyssa Reiling of Grindstone, Pennsylvania, and Hudson Lee of McKinney.
In lieu of flowers the family would like to request a small donation be made to support her son, Bill, with his need for a heart transplant.
