Andrew Colby Nowell, 23, passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2014. Born in Abilene, Texas on February 25, 1991, Andrew was the son of Connie B. Hayhurst and Keith D. Nowell. Andrew loved skateboarding, hunting and fishing, as well as camping. He loved being around his friends and family, and would do anything to help anybody and his friends. He was attending Cisco Junior College in the Fast Track Welding Course. He was a member of Highway 36 Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ryan Colby Nowell. Andrew is survived by his mother, Connie Hayhurst of Dudley, Texas; father, Keith Nowell of Azle, Texas; brother, Collin Nowell of Dudley; grandparents, Jay and Beth Hayhurst of Dudley, and Charles and Ann Nowell of Fort Worth; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 20, at Highway 36 Church of Christ with Greg Melton officiating. Burial will follow in Dudley Cemetery directed by The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road in Abilene. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hendrick Children’s Hospital, 1900 Pine Street, Abilene, TX 79601.
