Andrew Eason McNeill

Andrew McNeill, of Abilene, passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 in Abilene, Texas.

Andrew was born in Abilene, Texas to Steve and Sheri McNeill on June 8th, 1985. Andrew attended and graduated from Jim Ned High School in 2003. Andrew graduated with his Bachelor’s Degree in 2007 from Hardin Simmons University.

Andrew met the love of his life, Dessa McNeill, in September 2005. Andrew proposed to Dessa on Valentine’s Day in 2008 which led to their wedding taking place September 27th, 2008.

Andrew worked as an Install Manager at Tex-Oma Builders for the last 4 years. Andrew loved to work with his hands. He loved building furniture, cooking, and taking care of his three daughters. Andrew even started his own business, McNeill Woodworks.

Andrew is survived by his wife, Dessa McNeill; his three daughters, Taylor, Tristen, and Trinity Hart; his father, Steve McNeill; his mother-in-law Retha Hart; his brother and sisters, Daniel McNeill, Tiffnee Reed, (Justin Reed), Dana Manning (Brian Manning),and Jeremy Hart; his nieces and nephews, Haley McNeill, Madi and Jackie Manning, Colter, Ridley, Kenley, and Taylor Reed, and Jarrid Hart; his grandmother, Gaye Beitscher; as well as many loved aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Andrew was preceded in death by Seymore “Pepaw” Beitscher, Steven McNeill, and his mother Sheri McNeill.

Andrew believed in science and was not involved in any churches, although he respected everyone’s personal beliefs and was always intrigued to educate himself on those topics. Therefore, no funeral/church service has been scheduled to take place as of this time. There will however be a Celebration of Life in honor of Andrew announced at a later time by the immediate family for everyone who loved and supported him to be able to attend to express the impact that Andrew made during his life.
