Amy Dawn Clay, 31, died Tuesday, February 21, 2012.
Born in Abilene, Texas on February 17, 1981, Amy was the daughter of Lynda Kaye (Yates) Wilson and Jimmy Don Wilson. She graduated in the Abilene High School Class of 1999, and had an Associate Degree from Cisco Junior College.
Amy had worked as the office administrator for Rebound Sports and Physical Therapy and Steps 2 Strides for the past 11 years.
She played softball in the UGSA league from t-ball through the senior division, making many lifelong friends. Her daddy was her softball coach through the years. Amy loved to dance, having begun at the age of three.
Amy married Monty A. Clay on April 21, 2007. She was a member of Broadview Baptist Church.
She touched the lives of everyone she met. She had a love for life, and had a beautiful special smile for everyone. One of her greatest joys in life was to be a mother to her three sons.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jim Wilson, and all of her grandparents.
Amy is survived by her husband, Monty Clay; three sons, Artem Clay, Jacob Clay and Johnathan Clay; mother, Lynda Wilson; four sisters, Kelly Harrington and her son Matthew, Malinda Weaver, Sherie Alvarez and Karla Martinet; brothers-in-law, Kobie Clay, Jeffery Soto, Roger Soto and J.P. Soto; sister-in-law, Tonie Parker; father-in-law, Johnny Clay; mother-in-law, Sharon Brzozowski; several aunts and uncles; and many dear friends.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 25, at Broadview Baptist Church, 2500 South 27th St. in Abilene, with Rev. David Cason officiating. Interment will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park directed by The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road in Abilene. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be John Clay, Kobie Clay, Josh Crawford, Chris Horn, Craig Steiwig, Dwayne Dacus, and Nathan Thompson.
