Amelia Bozarth McCarty, 39, died in Avon Park, Florida, October 11, 2007. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. Following the prayer service, the family will receive friends until 9:00 pm at the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 18, 2007 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 5410 Buffalo Gap Road, with Father Ruben Covos officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Amelia was born August 11, 1968 in Abilene, Texas to Bill and Rita (Beyer) Bozarth. She grew up in the Abilene area and graduated from Eula High School.
Amelia attended Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas where she lived for 12 years. She moved to Florida in 1997. Amelia attended Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Avon Park, Florida. She was also in the Famous Faces singing group in Sebring, Florida.
She is survived by her parents; her best friend, Scott McCarty of Avon Park, Florida; two brothers, Allen Bozarth and his wife, Carin of Leesburg, Virginia, Randall Bozarth and his wife, DeAnna of Glen Rose, Texas; three sisters, Angela Robinson and husband Bobby of Austin, Andrea Hutchins and husband Randy of Water Valley, Texas, Anna Bozarth of Marble Falls, Texas; several aunts and uncles; 12 nieces and nephews; two grand nieces; one grand nephew, and a host of cousins.
