On Tuesday, October 24, 2006 Alvin Kennith (Ken) Mayhall was welcomed into the heavenly choir and into the arms of our Savior Jesus Christ. He was greeted by his parents, his brothers and sisters, Mamaw and Papaw, the Gospelaires and a host of family and friends.
Those left here waiting to join him are his beloved wife of 53 years Rose Elizabeth (Beth) Mayhall, three daughters and their families:
1) Debbie Mayhall Pesnell, her husband Don, granddaughter Erin Elizabeth Sones, her husband Michael and two great-grandchildren: Abigail Grace and Elijah Michael Sones of Burleson.
2) Dana Mayhall of Abilene
3) Denise Mayhall Brunner, her husband Larry, and Larry's daughters: Laura Smith, husband Eddie, and daughters Hannah and Abigail; Lisa Lester, husband Jay, and sons Michael and Brian.
Dad would also honor his wonderful Sunday School class, the Encouragers from Wylie Baptist Church and all those precious people who sang in his choirs through 45 years of music ministry.
Ken was a long time Abilene businessman selling musical instruments through Ken Mayhall Music Company. He served as music minister at several churches in Abilene. He also was part of the staff at Project Pass in Abilene ISD after he retired from the music business.
Thank you to all those wonderful doctors and nurses who gave him skilled and loving care during his illness.
