Alice Jo Thulin Alice Jo Thulin, 66, died Wednesday, May 12, 2010, at an Abilene nursing center. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 14, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road in Abilene, Texas. She will be cremated. The daughter of Ollie (Melton) and Russell Martin, she was born on January 30, 1944, in Amarillo, Texas, where she graduated from high school. Alice Jo married Wayne R. Thulin on August 28, 1965 in Amarillo. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She had been a resident of Abilene for thirty years. She was preceded in death by her father. Survivors include her husband, Wayne Thulin of Abilene; sons, Kevin Thulin and wife, Connie, of Wahoo, Nebraska, and Christopher Thulin and wife, Shannon, of Midland, Texas; and three grandchildren, Hannah, Riley and Matthew. She is also survived by her mother, Ollie Roles, and sister, Linda McCurdy, both of Amarillo; mother-in-law, Eva Dahms of Ballwin, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.
