Alfredo "Freddy" Flores, age 49, of Duncanville, Texas, passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2008 in Hendrick Hospice Care in Abilene. A memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2008 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.
Freddy Flores was born November 28, 1958 in Altus, Oklahoma. He spent most of his childhood in Lufkin, Texas, before moving to Anson, Texas. Freddy graduated from Anson High School in 1978 and went on to graduate from Texas State Technical Institute in 1980. He was an office equipment technician for 23 years in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. Freddy loved travel, music, and his many friends and family members.
Freddy is survived by his parents, Maria and Corando Flores of Abilene, sister Adela Garcia and husband Victor of Anson, brother Ernest of Altus, Oklahoma, brother Mike and wife Tracey of Lubbock, Corando, Jr. and wife Melinda of Abilene, brother Robert and wife Valerie of Abilene, longtime friend and "brother" David Rodstrom of Duncanville, 11 nieces and nephews, and 8 great-nieces and nephews.
The family asks that memorials be made to Hendrick Hospice Care, 1682 Hickory Street, Abilene, Texas 79601 in grateful appreciation of the tender care the nurses and staff gave Freddy during his last weeks.
