Albert Wilson, Sr. Albert Wilson Sr., of Abilene, Texas passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 in Abilene. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 18, 2016 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road, Abilene. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 19, 2016 at Southwest Drive Community United Methodist Church with The Rev. Iziar Lankford officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park in the Garden of Ten Commandments; directed by The Hamil Family Funeral Home. Albert Wilson Sr. was born Cameron, Texas to Frank Lee Wilson and Annie Sam on May 5, 1917. He was married to the late Malinda Franklin. Albert worked with the maintenance and towing department for 55 years at Arrow Ford Car dealership in Abilene. He was preceded in death by his wife Malinda and one son Norman Wilson, Sr. Albert Wilson Sr. is survived by one brother, Jonathan Wilson and wife of California; two sons, Daniel “Sonny” Wilson and wife of North Carolina and Albert Wilson Jr. of Abilene; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, and host of nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made in Albert’s honor to Southwest Drive Community United Methodist Church, 3025 Southwest Drive, Abilene, Texas 79605.
