Alan Duncan Wheeler

Alan Duncan Wheeler, 48, died Friday, February 27, 2009, at an Abilene medical center. The graveside service will be 2 p.m. Monday in Iberis Cemetery under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. Born in Abilene, Texas, on July 20, 1960, Alan was the son of Blanche (Duncan) and Jeff Alan Wheeler. He was a Cooper High School graduate. Alan was preceded in death by his parents, Jeff and Blanche Wheeler. Survivors include two sons, Joseph Wheeler of Dallas, and Travis Wheeler of Clyde; a grandchild, Madison Wheeler of Pennsylvania; and his best friend, Paul Winkler of Abilene. The family will receive friends at 601 Woodlawn. Memorials may be made to Hendrick Hospice Care, 1682 Hickory, Abilene, TX 79601, or the donor's favorite charity.
