Aaron Wayne Wilson, 56, died Monday, April 30, 2007 in Abilene. A funeral service, with Reverend Truman Johnson officiating, will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 4, 2007 in The Hamil Family Funeral Home Chapel, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. Burial will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park. There will be a visitation at The Funeral Home on Thursday afternoon from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.
Born October 18, 1950 in Tucumcari, New Mexico to Aaron Hezekiah and Ora Mae Pyron Wilson, Wayne graduated from Baird High School in 1969, and earned his Bachelor of Administration Degree from Hardin-Simmons University. He had worked as a supervisor in the Attorney General's Office and as a social worker for Texas Department of Human Services. A member of First Baptist Church in Baird, he married Cecilia Valdez on April 20, 1984 in Abilene.
Survivors include; his wife Cecila Wilson of Abilene; a daughter, Michele Munoz and husband Richard of Loraine, Texas; three brothers, Bill Wilson and wife Jeanie of Eula, Texas, Gary Wilson and wife Pam and Jerry Wilson all of Abilene; two sisters, Sue Blankenship of Abilene and Sharon Wilson of Stamford, Texas; two grandchildren, Brittany Aaron Munoz and Jacob Munoz, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Barron, Dell Haltom, Quinton Bass, Bobby Valdez, Daniel Madrid, and Felix Lujan.
