A.L. Fredeck, of Abilene, died Sunday, November 18, 2007 at the age of 69. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm today, Tuesday, November 20, at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. Funeral services, with Rev. David Cason officiating, will be at 10:00 am on Wednesday in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park.
A.L. was born June 2, 1938 in Abilene, Texas to Adolph Jefferson Fredeck and Bernadine L. LeCompte. He graduated from Abilene High School in 1956 and attended McMurry University. He was a machinist for Abilene Machine Shop for 26 years. A.L. married Barbara Buckman July 31, 1993 in Abilene. He attended Broadview Baptist Church.
A.L. was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Cloie Fredeck, in 1985. He is survived by three daughters, Belinda Rhodes and her husband Cody of Clyde, Dianna Campbell and her husband Cletus, of Abilene, and Elaine Coffman and her husband Rusty, also of Abilene; one stepson, Jason McVay and his wife Cindy, of Lonoke, Arkansas; one stepdaughter, Tonya McVay of Grand Prairie; six grandchildren, Dylan and Delaney Rhodes, Lauren and Emily Campbell, Payton and Rylie Coffman.
